Stephanie Davis, 31, gives birth to second child as ITV Coronation Street star shares sweet snaps after ‘traumatic’ ordeal
Coronation Street star Stephanie Davis admitted she was “sobbing” as she and partner Joe McKalroy shared a heartfelt post welcoming their newborn son to the world.
McKalroy revealed the birth of the newborn had been “traumatic” in an update on social media he wrote alongside a series of adorable pictures.
Snaps of the tiny tot sleeping and cuddled up in the arms of his family members accompanied the emotional announcement.
In his post, McKalroy penned: “Welcome to the world my beautiful baby boy Samuel McKalroy.
“Named after your uncle the one and only who will always weigh heavy on my heart I wish so much that he could’ve met you and cherished you as much as I do.
“It has been a traumatic experience but you are finally here in our arms.”
Paying tribute to his partner, he continued: “I never thought I could possibly love your mummy anymore than I already do but this is just so special and an unconditional love I cannot explain with words.
“@stephaniedavis88 I love you more than you will ever know.”
Responding in the comments, the 31-year-old actress wrote: “Sobbing reading this. My heart.
“I love you more than anything in this world. I couldn’t love you more I’m so blessed to have you as a daddy to our boys xxx.
“You carried me though that, it was so tough. I love you more than you will ever know xxxxxxxx.” (sic)
Also taking to the comments, co-stars, and fans gushed over the sweet photos and shared well-wishes with the parents.
Former Corrie star Helen Flanagan posted: “Congratulations. what a beautiful boy xxx.”
“Absolutely perfect in every way, congratulations Joe and Steph and big brother Caben. Absolutely amazing news, he is beautiful love his name Samuel x x x x,” a second added.
Another wrote: “Oh amazing! I’ve been stalking Instagram for this, I’m so happy to see he’s arrived safely. Congratulations to you both!”

Davis gave birth to her first son, Caben-Albi, in 2017.
The award-winning actress starred in Hollyoaks on and off between 2010 and 2019, before joining ITV soap Coronation Street in 2023.
