Jeremy Clarkson’s pub implements major change amid booking complaints: ‘By popular demand!’

Jeremy Clarkson has implemented a last-minute major change to the way he runs his pub – The Farmers Dog – which is set to please many of his loyal fans.

Whilst many families will be spending the festive period with their loved ones, some are using the occasion to go and visit the former Top Gear presenter’s latest project.

The pub – which opened back in August – has become a hotspot attraction for tourists and fans of the Diddly Squat owner.

Now, he has answered punters’ prayers by announcing that the pub doors will be open every day until Christmas.

Posting an image of the front of the pub on Instagram, The Farmers Dog official Instagram penned: “By popular demand!

“We are going to throw open the doors to our pub every day until Christmas – to give everyone a chance to come along! #backbritishfarmingdrinkhawkstone.”

Fans were left delighted with the news and quickly flocked to comment, with one user noting: “Looking forward to our supper with you on xmas eve.”

“Can you just turn up for a pint like a normal pub?” another asked before the pub account replied: “@ryandaly188 Of course! Strongly encouraged.”

A third added: “That’s the job @thefarmersdogpub the food was so delicious last weekend that were going to be making the 11-hour journey back again from Ireland by car.”

Someone else wrote: “Best news to receive before Christmas! So lucky I live close so I can pop down in the run-up to xmas and feel the festivities!”

A fifth expressed: “What a way to celebrate a great year!!! Clarkson has smashed it once again!” (sic)

The exciting announcement comes after some fans of Clarkson and the pub were left outraged and annoyed after implementing some restrictive new rules ahead of Christmas.

Due to the popularity of people wanting to go to the pub, diners hoping to take a seat and try some of Clarkson’s dishes which are made from local produce – along with his Hawkstone beer – may not have the full experience.

When attempting to book a table, punters were met with a message which insisted that they could only stay at their table for an hour.

The message read: “Please note your table is required back by 20:30. Please check the confirmation email for more details.”

The pub promises a delicious £40 per-head three-course feast, topped with Clarkson’s own Hawkstone Lager.

Many were left stunned at the prospect and left many to ask who they were expected to eat a full three-course meal and drinks within one hour.

Not all diners will be forced to scoff down their meals, however, as restrictions can be avoided when booking a later table – with more leisurely experiences for reservations after 8.30pm.
