Gogglebox star bravely opens up on health blow after sparking stroke fears among Channel 4 viewers

Gogglebox fan favourite Sue Sheehan has shared a candid update on her health during the latest episode of the popular Channel 4 show.

Sheehan and her husband Steve had been notably absent from recent episodes leading some to worry about the beloved couple.

The pair appeared as normal during Friday’s outing, lounging on their sofas and reviewing the week’s TV.

However, some viewers were quick to note a difference in Sheehan.

“Is Sue ok? (Sue and Steve) She doesn’t look her usual self,” one concerned fan asked.

Another worried bluntly: “Has Sue been to the dentist or has she had a stroke?”

Other fans were asking similar questions before the beloved stars shared a health update.

Sheehan revealed she had been suffering from Bell’s palsy, a neurological disorder that can cause stroke-like symptoms such as temporary weakness or paralysis on one side of the face.

Sheehan revealed: “I’ve had to relearn to do a couple of things since this Bell’s palsy.”

“One is to speak through the side of my mouth, and the other one is chewing. Chewing takes a long time,” she shared candidly.

“I have offered to chew your food for you, but you declined,” Steve said, adding: “Ive got to say, you haven’t lost the sharp side of your tongue though, have you?

“No, it’s sharper than ever actually,” Sheehan responded cheekily.

After the announcement, Gogglebox viewers were quick to share their best wishes to fan favourite Sheehan.

“Sending best wishes to Sue on Gogglebox who is suffering with Bell’s palsy. She still has her sense of humour which is great,” one responded happily.

Another wrote: “Sue and Steve, wishing you a speedy recovery from your Bell’s palsy. Sue keep being you love seeing you both on Gogglebox.”

“Thoughts with Sue x one of my favourites on Gogglebox,” a third said.
