Channel 4 Gogglebox fan-favourites inundated with sympathy as they announce death of beloved companion

Gogglebox stars Stephen Webb and former partner Daniel Lustig-Webb have announced the death of their beloved dog, Princess.

The beloved pooch was often seen lounging with the pair as they watched the week’s TV on the popular Channel 4 programme.

Webb and Lustig-Webb, who had been married since 2018, revealed they had split earlier this year.

Despite going their separate ways, the pair continued to “co-parent” Princess and their other dogs.

In a shared Instagram post, they announced the sad news that Princess had passed away this Sunday.

The post read: “Today we said goodbye to the kindest little girl, our princess RIP.”

Accompanying the post was an adorable picture of Princess cast against a bright blue sky.

Both also posted separate tributes of their own, with Lustig sharing a compilation of cute pics set to a piano version of Billie Eilish’s Birds of a Feather.

“Today we said goodbye to our princess. Such a beauty xxx,” Lustig-Webb wrote alongside pictures of Princess mocked up to like a fashion magazine cover.

An outpouring of support flowed in from fans as the pair announced the news.

“Omg nooooo… she was the best ever poodle x I’m so so sorry,” one fan wrote.

“She was the sweetest girl,” Webb responded.

Another fan said: “Oh no x I‘m so sorry to hear this sad news x she was beautiful x play free lil princess over the rainbow Bridge x.”

“Oh dear, my heart hurts for you both… sleep tight little princess xxx,” a third fan wished.

“I’m SO sad to hear this. Sending so much love. Awful when they go,” a fourth added.

A fifth consoled: “Sending you the biggest love the paw print they leave on our hearts stay forever.”
