Anton Du Beke in show first as he breaks down in BBC Strictly amid series’ first perfect score

Strictly judge Anton Du Beke was reduced to tears as the panel were awed by the series’ first perfect score this Saturday.

Former Love Island star Tasha Ghouri, 26, and pro partner Aliaz Skorjanec, 34, closed this week’s show with an astonishing American Smooth.

Ghouri and Skorjanec brought the Strictly ballroom and the judging panel to their feet with their routine.

Head judge Shirley Ballas was wowed by the “beautiful” dance. Almost speechless, she glowed: “Here we see the Rolls Royce of the Amercian Foxtrot.”

“What can I say? Absolutely fantastic. I have no words; you leave me with no words.”

Ballas also revealed that the former Strictly pro had become emotional during the dance.

“He was crying, just so you know. He was actually crying. First time I’ve ever seen you with a tear and you were very emotional,” she said.

Du Beke couldn’t deny Ballas’s claim and looked visibly moved as he glowed about Ghouri and Skorjanec’s American Smooth.

He said: “This is what it’s all about. It just makes me go this is why we dance. This is the point.”

“We do it because of the way it makes us feel. You’re extraordinary to watch, this is what it’s all about,” Du Beke continued.

Du Beke added: “I watched you dance and I tried to find something I didn’t like and I couldn’t, I liked it all.”

The other judges were similarly blown away, with Motsi Mabuse declaring: “I have only one word to say: perfection.”

Unfortunatey for the truth, your little right finger…” Began Craig Revel-Horwood to jeers from the crowd.

A cheeky grin betrayed he was joking before delivering his iconic, but seldom heard, catchphrase: “One word: fab-u-lous!”

The American Smooth earned Ghouri and Skorjanec a 10 from all four judges which naturally placed them at the top of the Week 10 leaderboard.

However, they were matched at the top following a barn storming Samba Dance-a-Thon performance from JB Gill and pro partner Lauren Oakley.
