Helen Flanagan, 34, forced to sell £1m ‘forever home’ after ‘losing all her money’ following Scott Sinclair split
Former Coronation Street actress Helen Flanagan has revealed she is selling her £1 million “forever home” in Bolton following her split from Scott Sinclair in 2022.
The 34-year-old star shared her heartbreak about leaving the eight-bedroom property where she has lived with her three children for the past four years.
Flanagan, who has previously spoken openly about “losing all her money”, told The Declutter Hub podcast she is being forced to downsize due to financial difficulties.
The actress admitted the large house has become “really hard to keep on top of” since her separation from Sinclair after 13 years together.

“It actually makes me sad that I’m going to be leaving soon because I actually put so much effort into it,” Flanagan explained on the podcast.
“When we moved, I put like a lot lot of my savings into doing the house up and making it look really beautiful.”
The property, which Flanagan had considered her permanent family home, features a Harry Potter-themed playroom for her children and a walk-in wardrobe.
She expressed feeling “really lucky” to have lived in the “gorgeous” house, despite acknowledging it was “a lot to keep on top of”.
The actress had invested significantly in furnishing the spacious home, with pieces specifically chosen to complement the property’s grand scale.
Flanagan has expressed concerns about the challenges of downsizing from her spacious home. “I think I’m going to struggle because, obviously, I will be downsizing so much,” she admitted.
The star worried that discussing her concerns might make her seem less “down to earth” but was candid about the adjustment ahead.
“It will feel weird to downsize everything because I’m going to have to get rid of so much more because all my beautiful furniture that I bought, it’s designed for this house,” Flanagan explained.
Despite these worries, she acknowledged a smaller property might be more manageable for her, saying: “I think it’ll be better for me actually to live in a small house because I think it might be more manageable for me.”
Flanagan’s financial difficulties became public knowledge earlier this year when she appeared in court for a driving offence.
In January 2025, she revealed she was “really struggling at the moment financially” and could only afford to pay her tax and VAT.
“My job really is being a mummy at home. Their dad works away,” she told the court during her driving ban hearing.
The actress explained her income fluctuates significantly. “I earn money on social media, but it kind of varies really what I earn. I used to earn quite well from it but I haven’t done so well the past year,” she said.
She added that childcare had become too expensive, with her mother now helping with the children. At the time of recording the podcast, Flanagan had not yet decided where she would move to next.
She revealed she was considering relocating to London, which would be “amazing for work” but remained undecided. “I don’t know if I’m best, because it’s not that far on the train, to just keep commuting,” she said.
The actress expressed a desire for a fresh start after her split from Sinclair. She added: “I feel like I want like a change because, even though everything’s great now, it’s been a really kind of quite heavy few years for me.”
Flanagan is currently dating construction worker Robbie Talbot, 45, though she recently revealed he no longer lives with her.
She had initially asked him to stay at the property as she “often gets quite scared in the house on my own and feels safer with a man there”.
However, Flanagan explained the arrangement wasn’t helpful for her eldest daughter Matilda, who is “very sensitive and a proper daddy’s girl”.
“She struggles with not seeing Scott as often as she’d like,” Flanagan previously told The Sun. The actress shares Matilda, nine, Delilah, six, and Charlie, three, with ex-fiancé Sinclair.
