BBC The Traitors fans make urgent plea for ‘bullied’ contestant as major twist lands them at risk of axe: ‘So worried’

The Traitors fans have been left concerned for Faithful player Freddie following Wednesday’s episode of the psychological competition show, with some arguing he has “been through too much”.

It comes as the latest shocking episode saw Traitor Minah banished during the roundtable by the Traitor she recruited days before, Charlotte.

With Charlotte having become the solo Traitor after ruthlessly getting rid of Minah, she had to deliver an ultimatum to one of the Faithful: join the Traitors or immediately leave the show.

The cunning player had a smart plan up her sleeve, explaining she would opt to recruit Freddie.

Earlier in the episode, vocal player Leanne had revealed to Charlotte and her fellow contestants bar Freddie and Alexander that she had a shield – meaning she couldn’t be murdered by the Traitors.

A sneaky Charlotte decided she would use this knowledge for her own power, deciding not to tell Freddie about the shield and hoping he would opt to “kill” Leanne – meaning the latter would deduce Freddie or Alexander must be a Traitor.

Freddie has butted heads with a number of contestants, with previous Faithful Livi adamant that he was a Traitor and fiercely accusing him in each Roundtable.

He also faced the wrath of the show’s “clique,” consisting of Livi, Leanne and Leon, all of whom pointed the finger at him as a Traitor for a while.

Freddie felt he had no choice but to take up Charlotte’s offer to become a Traitor, with no idea of her plan to throw him under the bus.

The brilliant ploy predictably led to a Twitter storm, with X abuzz with The Traitors fans reacting to the huge twist.

While some applauded Charlotte for her “evil genius” tactic, others felt sorry for Freddie and argued he should be given a break.

“Honestly Freddie has been through way too much now. The way this kid was bullied after the whole ‘clique’ comment?? And livi’s obsession with him?? Lawd help him!!! #TheTraitors,” one shared on X.

“What an episode!!! Poor Freddie #TheTraitors,” another wrote as a third added: “Can you imagine after all the drama and treachery, Charlotte setting up Freddie just to take the fall, it all backfires and Freddie ends up winning it all #TheTraitorsUK #TheTraitors.”

“I’m so worried about that boy (Freddie) he really needs to come up with a good strategy tomorrow. Freddie please survive tomorrow #Traitors #TheTraitorsUK #TheTraitors,” one concerned X user commented.

Someone else posted: “I actually don’t think Charlotte played smartly at all. She could have voted Freddie out, then used the penultimate roundtable to get Minah out, entering the final as the only Traitor without having to recruit #TheTraitorsUK #TheTraitors.”

However, many viewers have praised the scheming Charlotte, with another adding: “I’ve been furious all day about Minah (RIP queen) but Charlotte’s ploy with Freddie and Leanne is pretty genius #TheTraitors.” (sic)

It’s not the first time in this series that the contestants have been accused of “bullying” behaviour, with previous Faithful Kas having faced the impact mob mentality can have on the group.

The doctor was accused of being a Traitor by several contestants, who ended up isolating him even outside of Roundtables.

Fans were upset to see the Faithful being treated badly and also took to social media to accuse those involved of “bullying” the 33-year-old.

However, he soon set the record straight as he made clear on social media there was no bad blood between him and the other contestants, sharing a sweet snap on Instagram.
