Lisa Hogan delights Clarkson’s Farm fans as she drops huge Diddly Squat update amid closure

Jeremy Clarkson’s girlfriend Lisa Hogan issued an exciting update on how the renovations for the Diddly Squat Farm Shop were coming along – delighting fans.

At the beginning of the month, Clarkson penned to his eight million X followers: “While it’s true that the farm shop at Diddly Squat is closed as usual until March, the farm shop at the Farmer’s Dog is very much open.

“Every day apart from Mondays and Tuesdays. You can grab a burger too and a pint.”

He later shared another update regarding the shop after fans became concerned, they couldn’t attend anything to do with his farm.

Clarkson shared on Instagram: “Polite reminder. Diddly Squat Farm Shop is closed throughout January and February. The farm shop will reopen on Saturday 1st March 2025,” the announcement read.

“This closure is normal and has been the case in previous years. You can still shop Diddly Squat products at The Farmer’s Dog pub which is back open as usual now.”

Today, Hogan shared an exciting update on the Diddly Squat official Instagram page, posting a video of the ongoing works.

Showing their fans around the site, she said: “Look at how misty it is! So this is all going to be nice and fluffy with woodchip and then we are just cleaning down all the tables and chairs!

“We put some nice new fluffy woodchips in the lambing barn, and I am actually really looking forward to opening in March! Hopefully, the weather improves!”

The caption read: “Diddly Squat Farm Shop maintenance coming along nicely. Open again from the 1st March.”

Fans of the former Top Gear star were left thrilled, as one commented: “Looks great so glad the council lost in the end.

“Hopefully the weather improves and the council approves!” another teased before a third said: “Much better been twice and this will make a big difference love all your products.”

“Looking good our happy place,” another penned before a fifth added: “Can’t wait to visit again this year” (sic)

It was initially announced that Clarkson and co would be closing the doors to the shop in Chadlington, Oxfordshire from December 30 to the end of January but was later extended to the whole of February.

However, while trading at the Chadlington shop may be suspended for now, Clarkson’s Cotswolds pub, The Farmer’s Dog, has remained open for his fans to visit.

The change in schedule comes at the same time as Clarkson has overhauled his lifestyle after going through an emergency heart operation.

While filming ITV’s Who Wants to be a Millionaire?, Clarkson commented on his new routine and revealed: “My phone flashed up this morning saying: ‘You are taking far fewer steps this week than last’.

“I thought, ‘Yeah I would be as I am sitting here’. It also says you are eating far fewer sausages. I just sit here and eat celery. I am feeling better about it. I do feel very well.”

The former Top Gear presenter added that he now has a dietician who advised him to avoid processed foods and explained: “I have been to see a dietician. The dietician has given me a pretty good list and said: ‘Don’t eat processed food’.

“If it’s got more than one ingredient in it, don’t eat it. I feel great.”
