22 Kids and Counting’s Harley Passmore ignores backlash to family absentees at wedding as he shares message
22 Kids and Counting’s star Harley Passmore has broken his silence after viewers were left heartbroken for him after his mum failed to attend his wedding to Millie Radford.
After proposing in Disneyworld back in April 2024, the couple faced major challenges during the run-up to their wedding day.
However, when viewers tuned in to the episode which saw the couple finally tie the knot after months of challenging planning, they realised that Passmore was left without his mother’s support.
The youngster opened up about his strained relationship with his mother, explaining that it stemmed from previous family tragedies.
He said: “As a little kid, I always wanted to be around my mum, I’ve always been a mummy’s boy. Before my sister and my dad passed away, she’d always do stuff, she was a very loving mum.
“I realised my mum wasn’t there when I saw family friends walk in, who she’d actually come with. Before anyone walked down the aisle, I cried that much, it got to me.”
“Even though she didn’t come, it’s my special day and obviously it’s Millie’s special day and I don’t want to be sad,” he added.
Fans of the family were left furious on behalf of Harley and took to their X accounts to slam his mother.
One fumed: “Harley’s family should be ashamed of themselves for not turning up. I was so gutted for him.”
“Don’t worry Harley mate you got Millie’s family and that’s all you need #22kidsandcounting,” another added before a third penned: “Sad Harley’s Mum didn’t attend her son’s wedding.
“I felt for the young chap. I wish him all the best with Millie, I feel he may need it #22KIDSANDCOUNTING.”
Someone else added: “#22KIDSANDCOUNTING I feel sorry for him, that his own mum didn’t turn up to his wedding.”
Another expressed: “How very sad your mum didn’t think your big day deserved her to bother to turn up. You did yourself proud young man #22KIDSANDCOUNTING.”
However, it seems the youngster has put his issues with his mother aside and posted a sweet snap with his wife on his Instagram story.
Sharing an image of himself making his speech during the dinner, he penned alongside it: “Would love to do this day over and over again. I love you so much my beautiful wife,” followed by two love heart emojis.
His wife reshared the post on her own Instagram story, sharing her love for his kind words.
