ITV The Masked Singer’s Teeth leaves fans convinced they’re Irish pop duo as clue package ‘solved’: ‘I’ve cracked it’
The Masked Singer star Teeth may have already had their identity exposed as new data points towards the contestant(s) being an iconic Irish X Factor duo.
Brothers and X Factor stars Jedward – real names John and Edward Grimes – are the current frontrunners to be hiding underneath the Teeth costume.
Fans of the series have also begun to theorise as to who could be underneath the mask, with Jedward being a common theme.
During Teeth’s debut and VT, they could heard saying: “Wind me up and watch me go. I just can’t stop! You can probably tell I’m a bit of a big mouth.”
“Lads, lads, lads,” was also used during their clues leaving them to note that they were going to try and not put their “big foot” in it.
They added: “I’m ready to dive teeth first into the competition. I’m ready to use every trick in the book to make sure I don’t give the game away too quickly. This time I am going for gold.”
One of the items shown in the VT included binoculars before they took to the stage and sang Tony Christie’s Is This The Way to Amarillo?
Their last riddle for the judges was: “I’ve been schooled in variety, I have lots in the mix, and the way I perform knocks the audience for six.”
According to Gambling.com, Teeth is the 6/5 favourite to be unmasked next on Saturday night – with many hoping it will be either member of Jedward underneath the mask.
In their clue package, there was also a toy bus that featured an Irish flag, and there was also an orange and green salad on a plate, which is a huge hint that Teeth could be Irish.
The bus could be a nod to Celebrity Coach Trip, which has featured many a celebrity including twins Jedward – they’re 5/4 to be under the disguise.
Davina McCall thought it could be Alex Scott under the costume, whilst Jonathan Ross chose fellow talk show host, Alan Carr.
New host Maya Jama guest comedian Rob Beckett, before Mo Gilligan thought it could be Jimmy Bullard.
Jedward is yet to be mentioned by the judges, but many viewers have a feeling they have “cracked it”.
One viewer took to Reddit and said: “I think I have cracked it. Rewatched the clue VT and noticed an Irish tricolor flag on the side of the toy bus, and green and orange salad on a white plate too.
“There’s also binoculars hanging on a map of Europe. So I’ve convinced myself Teeth is Jedward and they’re either going to take turns, or next week another set of Teeth will appear.”

Agreeing with their theory, another user added: “It’s Jedward. I’m telling you. There’s the Eurovision clue yes, but there’s also… ‘Brace yourselves!’- one of Jedward famously fell off stage at T4 on and ended with a broken leg or ankle.
“A toy coach – celebrity coach trip. ‘I’ll pull any trick to hide my identity’ – switching twins would be a pretty spectacular trick. ‘Wind me up and watch me go’ – they’re famously wind-ups. During the performance ask ‘What’s going on Mashed Crisps?’
“All the other backing dancers are recognisable snacks, mashed crisps from my knowledge aren’t a thing, and coincidentally they’re the only backing dancer wearing the same tight colour as Teeth.
“My guess is that next performance there’ll be another strange backing dancer in red tights.” (sic)
