Jake Quickenden announces birth of his second child with sweet snaps and shares unique name: ‘Welcome little one’
Former X Factor star Jake Quickenden and his wife Sophie Church have welcomed their second child together, a baby boy named Kit.
The couple’s newest addition was born on January 8, 2025, weighing 6lb 13oz.
The 36-year-old TV personality shared the joyful news with fans on social media, introducing their newborn son with an adorable video.
Taking to Instagram, Jake shared a heartfelt message alongside the birth announcement: “Welcome to world little one. Kit Quickenden 6lb 13oz.”
“As a dad I just want to say Sophie was incredible, thank you for delivering Kit and being so amazing,” he added.
The touching video showed Sophie cradling their newborn son, who wore a blue beanie hat, whilst enjoying some well-deserved toast during breastfeeding.
The footage also captured intimate moments of Jake holding Kit skin-to-skin, clearly overjoyed with their new arrival.
The couple received an outpouring of congratulatory messages from celebrity friends on social media.
Strictly Come Dancing star Tasha Ghouri wrote: “Huge congratulations!!”
Daisy Wood David shared her joy and commented: “Congratulations you guys!! Same birth weight as Ari he looks gorgeous xx.”
Charlotte Dawson also joined in the celebrations and penned: “Congratulations guys, he’s so beautiful and Sophie you look insane!!!”

Quickenden and Church tied the knot in 2022 after four years of dating.
The couple already share three-year-old son, Leo, while Church has a 10-year-old son Freddie from a previous relationship.

The pair had announced they were expecting their second child together in August, sharing that they had been “trying for a long time”.
At the time, they posted on social media: “We can finally let you know after a long time trying we are gonna bring another bundle of joy into the world. We are super excited. Can’t wait to live off 2 hours sleep again.” (sic)
