Spotify Wrapped is now available to millions of subscribers. The annual retrospective allows iPhone and Android users to explore their listening habits from the last year through a personalised experience.
Spotify listeners can discover their most played tracks, artists, and podcasts of the last 12-months, as well as additional insights into their musical taste and listening habits. The 2024 edition of Wrapped is available exclusively via the Spotify mobile app on both iOS and Android.

Spotify Wrapped was launched back in 2016 as a way for subscribers to share unexpected statistics and insights about their listening habits with friends and family. Spotify offers the ability to share leaderboards on social media too, with thousands choosing to showcase what they’ve spend the last year listening to.
Subscribers were worried that Spotify decided to ditch the feature, since it launched in November for the past two years, but there was still no sign of Wrapped by the time that December rolled around. Thankfully, Spotify Wrapped is finally here with a comprehensive look at your favourite songs, albums, and artists from the last year.
Since it takes a little while for Spotify to calculate the rundown of your music taste from the last 12-months, the cut-off is around November 20. That means anything you’ve listened to after that date — like Last Christmas by Wham! on repeat, for example — won’t be counted towards the final tally.
This is different to Apple Music, the main rival to Spotify, which continues to update its playlists after its retrospective feature, dubbed Replay, has launched.
Spotify Wrapped has become a significant cultural moment since its launch, with thousands of subscribers sharing their results across social media platforms. If you’re interested in reviewing previous years’ data, you can load-up Spotify Wrapped via Spotify website by modifying the URL with their desired year (for example, replacing 2021 with 2020 in https://open.spotify.com/genre/2021-page).
Spotify has introduced several AI-powered features to enhance this year’s Wrapped experience.
For the first time, users can access a personalised AI-generated podcast that provides an overview of their listening habits, created using Google’s NotebookLM app. The AI DJ feature, a fan favourite according to Spotify, now offers commentary about users’ musical year alongside their favourite tracks, and is available in Spanish for the first time.
A new “music evolution” feature allows listeners to examine how their musical preferences changed throughout 2024, displaying up to three distinct musical phases with descriptors, genres and artists.
Premium subscribers can also create personalised playlists using their Wrapped data, with an AI Playlist feature that responds to prompts such as “my top 5 genres” to generate custom playlists. Each musical phase identified by the evolution feature will be accompanied by a specially curated playlist combining both familiar favourites and recommended new tracks.
Taylor Swift has emerged as Spotify’s most-streamed artist of 2024, amassing an impressive 26.6 billion streams throughout the year. The Weeknd and Bad Bunny secured the second and third positions respectively, whilst Drake and Billie Eilish rounded out the top five most-streamed artists globally.
Users can share their personalised Wrapped results across various social media platforms, with Spotify introducing new sharing integration specifically for TikTok this year.
The sharing feature allows users to post their results directly to TikTok’s main feed and Stories section.
When sharing, users can choose from six different colourways for their summary card, including black and pink, blue and pink, black and green, red and green, yellow and blue, or black and blue. Results can also be shared via Instagram Stories, WhatsApp, Snapchat, Messages, Facebook Stories, X, Messenger, or downloaded directly to users’ smartphones.
