Alan Halsall’s brother makes feelings clear on star’s possible Tulisa romance amid ITV I’m A Celebrity rumours
I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! stars Alan Halsall and Tulisa Contostavlos could embark on an unlikely romance if speculation is anything to go by – and it seems it already has the blessing of the Corrie star’s brother.
Rumours have been mounting about a potential romance between the two after eagle-eyed viewers at home have picked up on sweet moments between the duo.
The Coronation Street actor’s brother Stephen Halsall remained coy about the possibility, whilst Contostavlos’ best friend Michelle McKenna suggested the pair would make a “dead cute couple”.
The duo had been spending time together in the Leaders’ Lodge after winning the first trial as a team, with their growing friendship blossoming as the series continues.
Halsall’s brother, who touched down in Brisbane this week, told The Mirror: “You never know do you? I don’t know whether he is looking for a relationship or not.
“You just never know what’s around the corner but she is a nice enough girl.”
He also praised Halsall‘s handling of a recent spat with fellow campmate Dean McCullough, saying: “He handled himself well, to be fair.”
Contostavlos’ best friend McKenna was equally optimistic about the potential pairing, also telling The Mirror: “I would love her to meet someone… I love Alan but I think they are little besties in there.
“They would actually make a dead cute couple. We will have to wait and see. And he is a northerner. You never know.”
The sentiment was echoed by Halsall’s Coronation Street co-star Andy Whyment, who told Lorraine: “Well, they seem to be getting on really well, don’t they?”
“Listen, good luck to him. He’s obviously a single lad and I think Tulisa is single so we shall see what happens. Watch this space,” Whyment added.
Halsall, 42, was previously married to Coronation Street co-star Lucy-Jo Hudson, with whom he shares 11-year-old daughter, Sienna. The couple split in 2018 after a brief separation.
The ITV soap star opened up about his romantic life with McCullough and Contostavlos recently and said: “Lucy left Corrie in about 2005, then we got married in 2009. We then split up after Sienna was born.
“I love what I’ve got, even now I’m on my own I love just being dad. I’ve never done dating apps.”
McCullough was stunned to hear the actor hadn’t used dating apps before, which prompted Contostavlos to share her views.
“I’ve only done Raya [the celebrity dating app],” she explained, adding: “I’m not really a dater, even though I’ve been on there, I’ve never gone on an actual date with anyone on there… I’m proper guarded.”
