Ant and Dec make stance clear on Jane Moore ‘sexism’ row after furious rant at ITV I’m A Celebrity co-stars
I’m a Celebrity hosts Anthony McPartlin and Declan Donnelly have taken issue with Loose Women host Jane Moore, 62, after she branded her fellow campmates as “sexist” and “ageist”.
The spat began as new camp leaders, former boxer Barry McGuigan and McFly star Danny Jones, assigned chores to their fellow campmates, giving washing up to Moore to Tulisa Contostavlos.
“What!?” Moore exclaimed upon hearing the announcement as others in the camp laughed.
“Is that because we’re women?” she questioned furiously to a horrified McGuigan and Jones.
When the former boxer tried to explain that Moore’s age factored into their thinking, she accused the pair of being “ageist and sexist”.
“I think she is being a bit unfair by saying it’s sexist and ageist. I think they were just trying to do a good job in allocating fairly, if I’m honest,” McPartlin later said of the exchange.
Donnelly agreed, adding: “I feel for Barry, he was only trying to do his best.”
“Poor little Barry,” McPartlin continued before observing: “It’s always about the chores. It’s always around the leader and who they give the chores to. It’s either that or the cooking.”
Former Strictly Come Dancing pro Oti Mabuse admitted “you could cut the tension with a knife” during the exchange.
As McGuigan and Jones rattled off who would take on the other chores, Moore sat shaking her head in disgust.
The 62-year-old recalled she had earlier declared: “Don’t put me on bl**dy cleaning. Hate it.”
When it came to allocating tasks, McGuigan and Jones had put careful thought into their choices.
The former boxer shared he was “concerned” that Moore was already doing camp maintenance on her own accord so should be given something else.
Jones flagged up that they were maybe being too “male heavy” on the more “strenuous” jobs like wood and water duty, wondering if they would feel left out.
“That’s a fair comment but I don’t think they’d thank us because it’s physically tough,” McGuigan responded.
After the deliberation, the pair agreed the best course was to assign the Loose Women host with the washing up.

Regarding the other chores, the pair chose Maura Higgins and Coleen Rooney for camp maintenance, Oti Mabuse and Richard Coles for cooking, and Alan Halsall and GK Barry for wood duty.
Finally, they assigned water duty to Melvin Odoom and Dean McCullough.
Odoom was overjoyed with the choice, thanking the “jungle gods” for hearing him.
