ITV I’m A Celebrity accused of ‘shameless’ advertising plug as fans left puzzled over major change: ‘Very rushed’

I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! fans have been left baffled by bosses’ decision to give the campmates their luxury items just four days in – whilst “shamelessly” plugging Amazon.

During Tuesday night’s episode, Danny Jones and Alan Halsall were given the challenge of being able to win the group’s luxury items.

As the pair arrived at the Jungle Delivery Centre, they were asked to answer questions about the other contestants to win their luxury items.

During the challenge, the items were packaged in an unmarked box bearing just the celebrity’s name.

However, when they arrived back in camp with the good news and gifts the package was clearly an Amazon delivery box.

As Halsall carried it down, Jane Moore shouted: “He’s carrying an Amazon box!” before Dean McCullough added: “Seeing Alan carrying that Amazon box…”

Whilst the campmates were pleased to see Halsall and the Amazon box, viewers at home took to their X account to slam the show’s “shameless” plug of the shopping and delivery service.

One person wrote: “’Does anyone remember the product placement warning at the beginning of the show? Why is Amazon getting a massive plug?”

Another added: “Anyone else notice the incredibly subtle #Amazon product placement?”

Someone else asked: “Is I’m A Celebrity now sponsored by Amazon?”

Other fans were left baffled as to why the celebrities were getting their luxury items so early on in the series, considering they had only been there for four days.

“Luxury items already? It gets earlier every year #ImACeleb,” one exclaimed. Another viewer said: “F*****g luxury items already? #ImACeleb”

“It will be letters from home tomorrow #ImACeleb,” someone sarcastically quipped, before another added: “They’ve only been in there ten minutes ffs.

“Everything seems very rushed this year #ImACeleb.” (sic)

As the celebrities eagerly waited for the arrival of their luxury items, they were greeted with a twist as their loved ones at home had chosen their items.

Coleen Rooney was delighted with her gift – a personalised pillow with a photo of her husband Wayne and four sons on it.
