ITV I’m A Celebrity sparks ‘fix’ outrage after just one episode as tech problems plague public vote: ‘Won’t let me!’

I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! fans were left outraged on Sunday night after several were unable to use the app to vote for who they wanted to face tonight’s Bushtucker Trial.

Last night, the 10 new celebrities were welcomed to the show by being thrown into a trial minutes after arriving.

Oti Mabuse, Tulisa Contostavlos, Dean McCullough, Jane Moore, and Danny Jones were welcomed by Ant and Dec by having to down a drink of blended bulls’ penis and a fish eye which was garnished with vomit fruit.

McPartlin and Donnelly informed the five contestants they were taking part in a race, with the order they finished drinking being the order they were allowed to board the five waiting helicopters – before skydiving out.

Once out of the chopper, they ran to the other five celebrities who were waiting – Melvin Odoom, Coleen Rooney, GK Barry, Barry McGuigan and Alan Halsall – and chose a partner for the remainder of the race.

Mabuse and Odoom were first out of the race after failing to secure a jeep at the next phase, while Halsall and Contostavlos went on to win and become the first camp leaders.

Halfway through the show, McPartlin and Donnelly revealed what the next trial would be and gave the viewers a chance to vote for who they wanted to see take part.

Explaining the trial, Donnelly noted: “Talking of trials, you at home are about to decide who does the second trial of the series. Here’s what’s in store for one lucky celebrity.”

Titled Vile Volcano, the celebrity would have to work their way underground and face some subterranean scares – hoping to bring home 10 stars for camp.

As the trailer for the trial came to an end, Donnelly excitedly quipped: “It looks like a good one, doesn’t it? And the vote for Vile Volcano is now open!”

Viewers were quick to flock to their apps to vote for who they wanted to see take part in the trial, but many were greeted with a message that read: “Something went wrong, please check your connection, refresh your browser and try again.

“If the problem persists, please contact [email protected].”

This left devoted fans infuriated, as one penned on X: “Lovely job?!?! Is anyone else getting this from the @imacelebrity app when trying to vote ?!?!”

“Vote closed!! Couldn’t even get on to register to vote,” another slammed before a third said: “The public have been voting’…no we haven’t, we can’t get in the app. Fix.”

“It won’t let me vote #ImACeleb” another expressed along with a crying face emoji, leaving a fifth to fume: “Omg is anyone else’s voting crashing because we’re all rushing to vote for GK Barry…#ImACeleb.”

Someone else lashed out: “F**KING HELL IVE DOWNLOADED THE APP WHY DO I NEED TO PUT IN MY PHONE NUMBER TO VOTE #ImACeleb.” (sic)
