BBC Strictly star exclaims ‘he has to’ as they make desperate plea to Craig Revel Horwood
Strictly Come Dancing star JB Gill has pleaded with Craig Revel Horwood to finally put up his 10 padel this weekend.
As seen in previous series, Horwood has yet to give one couple a score of 10 due to his harsh critiques and pressure to put on a “perfect” dance.
Whilst many of the couples have received a 10 from Motsi Mabuse, Shirley Ballas and Anton Du Beke, they have been unable to score a perfect 40 due to Horwood.
Tonight, It Takes Two host Fleur East joined the celebrities in Blackpool to catch up on how they were feeling ahead of their performances tomorrow.
When joined by Gill, Pete Wicks and Chris McCausland, she asked: “Do you think Craig is going to pull out the 10 padel? We have seen the score of 39 five times in this series.
“Is it going to happen in Blackpool?” leaving the JLS star to reply: “I mean, he kind of has to, he is the only one who has not done it yet! And it’s Blackpool!”
McCausland joked: “Why did you go to JB for that question and not me and Peter? Just wondering,” referring to the previous “banter” he and Wicks have had with the judge.
Wicks added: “You looked straight at JB, we are just stood here like a couple of book ends. Don’t worry about us.”
The comment comes after Horwood was slammed by a former Strictly after making a major change to feedback.
Speaking exclusively to GB News for Jackpotjoy, former Strictly favourite Vincent Simone voiced his doubts about Horwood’s latest tactic.
“To be honest, now that I think about it, it’s one thing that I spotted for years.
“Every time Craig judges a couple, it starts with, ‘Lumpy, blah, blah, stumpy… But I loved it!’ And then the score doesn’t match the bad comments.
“It’s one thing that he’s always been renowned for, but I love it. I love the fact that he does say the truth, sometimes over exaggerating on some of the comments negatively.”
Questioning the motives for the sudden change, he added: “But then at the end, he loved the performance.
“It was entertaining, I don’t see why they made a point of it now this year, which is something that I have noticed since my years on Strictly.”
The Strictly stars arrived in the seaside town ahead of the special show last night to begin their rehearsals for the upcoming show.
