Lulu, 76, sparks frenzy with rare snap of ‘lookalike’ sister as gobsmacked fans praise: ‘Could be twins!’
Lulu, 76, has left a number of her social media followers stunned after sharing a sweet snap alongside her sister, Edwina.
The singer is currently embarking on the final dates of her last-ever tour before she leaves the world of jet-setting and extensive strings of dates behind her.
Lulu, who recently angered fans with her return to screens to promote the gigs, will round off her Champagne for Lulu tour in Ipswich on November 15 and Southend-On-Sea on November 18.
Earlier this week, the Scottish singer wowed audiences in Edinburgh, Leeds and Brighton.
And it was at the latter city that her sister decided to join her to show her support for the 76-year-old.
To mark the occasion, Lulu and her sibling stopped for a selfie which she later shared on Instagram with a heartfelt caption.
“Brighton thank you for being an amazing crowd last night…” Lulu began.
“Me and my wee sister felt the love,” she continued before signing off with a series of love heart emojis.
Before long, attendees rushed to congratulate the singer on yet another successful gig – but others were more distracted by the striking similarities between the two.
“Goodness you look so alike,” one Instagram user commented followed by a love heart emoji.
Soon after, a second fan cheekily commented: “Can we bottle your genes both of you! Amazing ladies!”
“Lovely picture of you both… You look so alike! x,” a third said before a fourth echoed: “Look like twins.”
“Wow you look so alike xx,” a fifth concurred while a sixth praised: “Your sister’s your double,” followed by a shocked face emoji and love heart. (sic)
Famous faces including Gabby Logan and A Place in the Sun’s Danni Menzies also liked the photo.
While Lulu is enjoying the final dates of her tour, her sister also took the step – albeit briefly – into the world of music back in the 1980s.
Signed to well-known record label Stock Aitken Waterman, Edwina released two singles, Bye Bye Love, and Dark Glasses in 1983 and 1984 respectively.

Lulu may be nearing the end of her touring days later this month but the Eurovision icon won’t be short of other work projects when she wraps up.
Speaking on BBC Radio 2 earlier this year, she told Scott Mills: “I’m absolutely writing a memoir – I mean, I’m not writing it myself and I wouldn’t pretend to do that, but it’s because I have so many moments I can talk about.
“And I wouldn’t say I’ve lied or told fibs, but I was never… I think I’m gonna be more… it is about honesty but truthful without being a kiss and tell book.
“(It’s) more vulnerable than I’ve – I’m very talkative but I’m actually quite private so I will open up and talk about things that maybe are relatable and helpful maybe to young women. I think that’s who it’s mainly directed at.”
The singer has also alluded to a biopic about her life being in the pipeline.
