BBC Strictly fans ‘work out’ next axed star as they spot worrying trend with upcoming routines: ‘The end is near’
Strictly fans speculating on the next couple to leave the popular dance show have spotted a worrying pattern with the upcoming routines.
The show’s forum on the social media platform Reddit was awash with discussion about which two celebs will be to face the dance-off.
Fans theorized that Latin dances, such as the Paso Doble and Rumba, will pose a serious threat to the chances of some of the celebs.
One couple many fans were singling out as likely to struggle was former X Factor winner Shaye Ward and dance partner Nancy Xu.
The couple, who faced the dance-off after Halloween Week, will dance a Rumba to Time After Time by Cyndi Lauper.
As each couple’s dances for next week were announced, one user penned: “tell me that you want Shayne out without telling me you want Shayne out.”
“A Shayne rumba might have him in the bottom 2” worried another fan.
A third added: “I can’t see Shayne surviving this week, unfortunately.”
“I feel like he’ll be low down on the leaderboard, if not bottom. Terrible week to get a tough dance,” they continued.
One particularly irate commentator declared: “Shayne is doing a rumba?! The end is near.” (sic)
Gladiators star and former Olympian Montell Douglas was also identified as a potential leaver on the forum.
Douglas, who survived the dance-off with partner Johannes Radebe last week, will dance a Paso Doble to Lola’s Theme from The Shapeshifters.
Reddit theorists once again identified the risk of a Latin dance, particularly combined with their song choice.
One poster said it was “an iffy song choice for a Paso” but believed surviving the dance off in Week Seven would give her a “bottom two boost”.
A second fan was more hopeful: “Looking forward to Montell’s Paso, something tells me it’s going to be one to watch”.
One dancer who fans believe will buck the Latin trend will be EastEnders star Jamie Borthwick and dance partner Michelle Tsiakkas.

Television presenter Pete Wicks Blind and comedian Chris McCausland were tipped by the forum to remain despite being the “weakest dancers”.
Both will dance a Couple’s Choice which would “definitely help Pete get through”.
Another fan agreed but felt: “Chris could produce something special I’m looking forward to it”. (sic)
