Liam Payne’s final song recorded before death PULLED from release as producer speaks out

Liam Payne’s upcoming single Do no Wrong has been pulled from release out of respect for family and friends mourning him.

The late One Direction star, 31, died earlier this month after falling from his hotel balcony in Argentina.

Payne’s producer Sam Pound posted the news on X, formally Twitter, that he was “deciding to hold” the single from release out of respect.

The Grammy winner added he wished to see the song’s liberties in the hands of Payne’s family be used for a good cause.

“I want all proceeds go to a charity of their choosing (or however they desire),” he penned in a statement on X.

Pound ensured fans “we all love the song” but said “it’s not the time yet” to publish it.

“We are all still mourning the passing of Liam and I want the family to mourn in peace and in prayer.”

The producer signed off: “We will all wait. With love Sam Pounds.”

On the single, Pound had previously said he wanted it to be a “blessing to the world like Liam has always dreamed.”

The Grammy winner added that he hoped it “eclipses the negative echoes” surrounding Payne’s death.

“I pray supernatural positive healing power will embrace each and every one of you,” he urged earlier this week.

Do No Wrong was planned to be a follow-up to Payne’s 2019 solo album LP1 and single Teardrops, released earlier this year.

An industry insider recently claimed Payne was dropped by his record label, Universal Music, after Teardrops failed to meet chart expectations.

“Liam wanted to make the sort of music he enjoyed but his label believed it wouldn’t win over 1D fans so there were disagreements about the way his brand should have been marketed,” the insider said.

They continued to the Mail: “The entire music industry is making cuts and restructuring to cut costs, so Universal decided to drop Liam quietly and invest in other artists.”

Payne was found dead after a fall from his third-story hotel balcony in Palermo, Buenos Aires on October 16.

Police had originally been called to the CasaSur Hotel after reports of an “aggressive man who could be under the influence of drugs or alcohol” were made.

A toxicology report released recently showed traces of cocaine in Payne’s body. However, tests on white powder found in his hotel suite have so far proved “inconclusive”.
