Janette Manrara tells off BBC Strictly star Nikita Kuzmin after racy confession: ‘Don’t you dare’
Strictly: It Takes Two host Janette Manrara was left having to remind professional Nikita Kuzmin that she was a married woman as he teased the former dancer about liking his costume reveal.
On Saturday night, Kuzmin and celebrity partner Sam Quek performed the Jive to Time Warp by The Rocky Horror Picture Show Cast.
After walking out in costume, the pair soon stripped off, with Kuzmin revealing he was wearing a corset and suspenders.
Fans at home went wild for the reveal, and it seemed to leave Manrara with a mental image days after the performance too.
Kuzmin and Quek joined Manrara tonight for It Takes Two, where the host began: “OK, Nikita. The reveal, let’s talk about that!”
“I know you loved it Janette, I know you did love it!” Kuzmin teased before Manrara hit back: “I am a married woman don’t you dare!
“Lace, suspenders, a corset, I mean you were the talk of social media! There were so many comments! Seriously!
“Look, one person said ‘I actually squealed out loud when Nikita stripped off!’ ‘Nikita in suspenders every week please’ This one is from someone familiar, your partner Layton [Williams] ‘Come on corset and thighs!’
“That was clearly a moment but how was it for the two of you to do that big reveal?”
Kuzmin explained: “The thing is, you can’t be afraid to put yourself out there right? Strictly we are all about having fun!
“Entertaining the audience at home and just having that reveal which you know, it is a little bit provocative, it is right, you don’t usually turn up on Saturday night in suspenders and thong…
“If you do then! No, but I think it is just a fun moment and just going for it, not being afraid of having a little risk.”
Later in their chat, Manrara revealed Quek and Kuzmin would be dancing the American Smooth to Love Story (Taylor’s Version) by Taylor Swift.
Once again mentioning the suspenders to Manrara, Kuzmin teased: “Janette, have you ever seen Romeo, in suspenders?”
She quickly hit back: “Nikita, don’t put things in my mind please, I need to focus!”
Their lighthearted chat comes off the back of Quek feeling “gutted” last week after her error in the Quickstep forced them to be marked down.
