Vito Coppola makes huge ‘revelation’ to BBC Strictly partner Sarah Hadland and admits ‘Can’t fake it anymore’

Strictly Come Dancing professional Vito Coppola made a cheeky “revelation” about his own choreography and admitted to “stealing” Miranda Hart’s dance moves.

Coopola’s celebrity partner – Sarah Hadland – is known for her role as Stevie Sutton on the former BBC sitcom Miranda and starred alongside Hart.

Throughout Hadland’s time on the show, Hart has been posting videos on her social media giving tips and tricks to her friend and Coppola ahead of their performances each week.

Named Choreography Tuesday, the BBC comedian uploaded her recent segment this week and was joined by former professional and It Takes Two host, Janette Manrara.

Tonight, the couple joined Manrara’s co-host Fleur East on the BBC Two show where Coppola made a surprising confession about his choreography.

East noted: “Every week your friend Miranda [Hart] has been posting choreography tips and this week she was joined by a familiar face.”

The clip was played for the couple, which led the former X Factor star to ask: “What tips are you taking from Miranda, Vito?

Sitting on the edge of the sofa, he admitted: “Oh Miranda, I must say, now I have to expose it, I cannot hide it anymore.

“I, all these weeks, I took the credit but it was actually Miranda’s choreography. Because, every week she was posting something with notes, advice, new steps that she created.

“Like in the Samba, she was creating the zero and I used the zero! So, I said Miranda thank you very much, I am getting inspired by you.”

As East and Hadland began to giggle at his act, the Italian dancer continued his joke: “I was like stealing her movement and pretending it was mine.

“But now everyone knows and I cannot fake it anymore. Thank you, Miranda…”

Swiftly moving on, East asked Hadland how she was feeling about performing the first Argentine Tango of the series.

The BBC star admitted: “It is very intense, in capital letters, it is very full on,” before an excited Coppola interjected: “It is intense, but a fiery dance, a fireball, but because it is Halloween it is also very cold.”

Coppola recently posted on his Instagram account speaking on how they were finding the Argentine Tango – and admitted they weren’t giving up.

He said: “This week is hard but we are harder. This is going to be our first dance with lifts and it’s very challenging, but we don’t give up! We push even more.
