The heartbreaking reason that Liam Payne’s father visited the hotel where his son died – ‘Their grief is public’
Stephanie Takyi has revealed to GB News the heartbreaking reason behind Liam Payne’s father’s visit to the hotel where the former One Direction star tragically died.
Takyi explained that Geoff Payne made the difficult journey to Argentina to begin the process of bringing his son’s body back to the UK.
Speaking to GB News she said: “We forget that he is a part of a family. His father, Geoff, has made the heartbreaking journey to Argentina to bring the process of bringing Liam Payne’s body back to the UK.
“For this family their grief is public. It’s not a family that can mourn privately. He’s really courageous because he spent time with fans outside the hotel where Liam died.
“He’s been looking at all of the tributes. He’s been collecting his belongings. So it’s a really tough process.
“No parent wants to think about having to bury their child and it’s just it’s not right at all.”
