National Lottery set deadline for winner to claim £1million as urgent appeal launched for jackpot

The National Lottery has set a deadline for the winner of a £1million EuroMillions jackpot to come forward and claim their prize.

The lucky recipient, who bought the ticket in Cardiff, has yet to make themselves known and the organisation is now “desperate” to find the EuroMillions Millionaire Maker winner.

The EuroMillions Millionaire Maker game promises to create at least one UK millionaire in every EuroMillions draw. However, in the draw on August 16, 10 millionaires were created. All but one have come forward to collect their life-changing reward.

The winning Millionaire Maker code for this prize was HGSB 20321 and the lucky ticket-holder has until February 12, 2025 to claim their prize.

Players in Cardiff are now being urged to “look everywhere” to find their tickets and check if they have the unique winning code that would make them a millionaire.

Even if you no longer have your ticket, but believe it could be you, you can still write in to the National Lottery to make a claim.

However, the organisation has cautioned that all claims made must be within 30 days of the draw – which means players in Cardiff without their ticket have until September 16 to write in.

Andy Carter, the senior winners’ advisor at The National Lottery, said: “This prize is the last one that is yet to be claimed from the special EuroMillions draw. If you bought a EuroMillions ticket in Cardiff for the draw on August 16, it’s time to look everywhere!

Players have 180 days from the day of the draw to claim their prize if they have the lucky winning ticket.
