Liam Gallagher hinted at Oasis 2025 reunion two months ago with dedication to ‘little brother’

Liam Gallagher, Oasis frontman, had been dropping hints about the band’s reunion two months before during his solo tour.

In a video shared by @oasismaniaofficial, Liam dedicated a song to his “little brother” Noel, playfully referring to him as “still playing hard to get”.

“But that’s alright, well, word on the street is he was spotted in a really posh chocolate shop, one of them Thornton’s, buying some chocolates, so you never know – know what I mean?”, he quipped.

The song he chose to perform in honour of Noel was “Half the World Away”, a poignant track with lyrics that held significant meaning for the formerly estranged brothers.

Fans in the comments section speculated about an Oasis reunion, unaware that their dreams would soon become reality.

The Gallagher brothers officially announced on Tuesday that Oasis would be reuniting after a 15-year hiatus.

The iconic Britpop group is set to embark on a massive £50million stadium tour in the summer of 2025.

The tour, dubbed Oasis Live 25, will include five nights at Wembley Stadium and visits to Cardiff’s Principality Stadium, Manchester’s Heaton Park, Edinburgh’s Murrayfield Stadium, and Dublin’s Croke Park.

Tickets for UK dates will go on sale from 9am on Saturday, with Dublin tickets available from 8am the same day.

Confirming the tour, the band stated: “The guns have fallen silent. The stars have aligned. The great wait is over. Come see. It will not be televised.”

The Gallagher brothers’ tumultuous relationship has been a defining feature of Oasis since their rise to fame.

One of their most significant altercations occurred at Rockfield Studio in Wales during the recording of their second album, (What’s the Story) Morning Glory?

Welsh producer Owen Morris recalled: “They were killing each other. Literally, wanting to kill each other and Noel said he wasn’t coming back and that was it. End of band.”

Noel described the incident, saying: “Liam decides to invite everybody from Monmouth back to the studio at about five in the morning, which is about 60 people… We ended up having a big row and I remember a cricket bat being involved.”

Despite the conflict, the album went on to become one of Oasis’s best, winning multiple Brit Awards and becoming the best-selling album of the decade.

Despite the excitement surrounding the reunion, rehearsals for the 2025 tour are facing delays due to scheduling conflicts. Noel Gallagher had previously planned several holidays, including trips to the South of France, Ibiza, and Los Angeles.

In a recent podcast, Noel stated: “I have no plans whatsoever, it is much needed. I have to get away from it for a bit now.”

Meanwhile, Liam has commitments of his own, including headlining a festival in Malta on September 22 and performing at Anthony Joshua’s next fight on September 21.

Matt Morgan, one of Noel’s close friends, admitted he was kept in the dark about the reunion until the last minute.

He said: “About a week ago, maybe a bit longer, a couple of people sent me cryptic messages asking, ‘Do you know? Do you know something?’.”
